UK Teachers Recruitment 2023 | Application Form Portal, Selected Countries, Requirements, and How to Apply

The UK Government has announced the recruitment of teachers from different countries, Interested and eligible candidates are hereby invited to submit their application forms for the UK Teacher Recruitment 2023. All interested applicants should check their eligibility status online before the application deadline and submit their application forms and other required documents through the UK Teacher Recruitment portal stated in the method of application section below.

Applicants from the following countries outside England are eligible to apply for this job;

1. Nigeria
2. Ghana
3. South Africa
4. Zimbabwe
5. Hong Kong
6. India
7. Jamaica
8. Singapore
9. Ukraine

   From 1 February 2023, teachers from all eligible countries will have to show they meet a consistent set of criteria for the award of QTS(Qualified Teachers Status). Over time, this route will be opened to qualified teachers from every country outside the UK.

This will ensure all non-UK teachers awarded QTS meet the same high standards, while also increasing opportunities for highly qualified teachers wherever they are trained.

Requirements

To apply for assessment only QTS, interested candidates do not need a formal teacher training qualification. However, you must have;

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience;
• A first (bachelor’s) degree from a UK or non-UK university
• An English language qualification which is the same standard as a grade 4 GCSE (General Certificate of
• Secondary Education)
• A maths qualification which is the same standard as a grade 4 GCSE to teach children aged 3 to 11 in primary school and
• A physics, chemistry, or biology (science) qualification which is the same standard as a grade 4 GCSE.

How to Take the Qualified Teachers Status(QTS) Assessment

Interested and eligible candidates who meet these requirements should proceed to the QTS assessment website here to check their eligibility status from the 1st of February 2023.

After a successful assessment, eligible candidates can now proceed to submit their application form online along with all documents listed on the QTS portal.
